  1. Music can spark violence because as soon as someone starts to listen to music they become influenced by it. If someone was to listen to calm and peaceful music, they would carry themselves as calm and lead their lives very peacefully. Likewise if someone listens to very violent music then they might start to think that this is the way that they should be.

  2. When you listen to loud music, its not always okay. Listening to loud music is okay as long as youre alone. People like that man in the video may misinterpret what youre listening to and it'll make them do something reckless. This could varie, like they can confront you, or even kill you, You never know, some people like that exist.

Loud music can often ruins ones piece of mind and the lyrics of the music they're listening to May often touch the heart. some songs are dedicated to certain issues people go through and if you listen to music loud and it bothers someone it can often cause them to feel effected negatively which may cause a violent reaction.

  4. i believe that music can spark violence. it may not have been as soon as you listen to it, but after hearing that song several times it can mess up your mind. you can find yourself thinking, saying and doing things you wouldn't normally do. its almost as if you mind interprets the song lyrics as your own thoughts and wishes.

  5. Loud Music can be threatening to some people. Its depend on the tone of the beat and the lyrics. Music can spark violence when its sends a unclear message. When its unclear nobody rarely thinks , most of the time they make assumptions

  6. In my opinion I believe that musi can spark violence. Now a days if you hear someone blasting a certain type of music you automatically put them in that group of thugs or intimidating people and you begin to fear them, but there are people that will take a different approach to the situation. Blasting loud music is like you calling for attention you want people to notice you.

  7. In my opinion, I believe that "loud rap music" can be affective to society and it may or may not cause violence. It depends on the message of ge song and or the listener. Rap music can send a powerful message about freedom or the right to have a voice or even love songs and be played loudly and that doesn't cause violence. But when loud rap music plays about gang related violence, it can cause issues in society which leads to many deaths and un-needed issues.

  8. In my opinion music can effect a community or a society very easily. Just by saying a few thing in a song can get people to do very bad actions. Like protesting or vandalism just by song lyrics. I find music very power and should be used to get people to unify.

  10. sadly yes i believe that music played a role in how the teen was percieved by his killer. just because the killer did not like the music that the boys were playing that he refferred as "thug music" he thought it was ok to kill one of the teens. when loud rap music plays about gang related violence, it can cause issues in society eyes.

  11. Loud music can both have a negative and positive influence on teens. It depends on what kind of music they listen to and who they look up to

  12. I think loud rap music was not the cause of the the teens death. i believe the teens death was based off how he responded to the guy who asked him if he is talking to him. then again the dude shouldnt have shot the teen. he should have held the teen at point and atleast asked him to drop his weapon or what ever he was holding.

  13. Music can spark violence in people because surtant lyrics can afend people and it influences there perspective towards the music and the people who support it.

  14. I think the music did have a role in this teens death because the loud music seemed to upset the killer to a point where he felt that violence was the answer. Although I do believe it played a role, I do not think it was the main reason why he was shot. Music is a very powerful "weapon" and it can be used to influence someone's actions, whether that be good or in this case bad.

  15. Music can spark violence depending on the group of people listening to the song. There are many types of music. For example, you have pop music hip hop, rap and many others. Now pop music does not spark violence because it usually in a fast pace and doesn't have a bad vibe to it. It is more of a party type of music. Therefore music cannot spark violence. But my question is what type of music can possibly spark violence and why would it spark violence.

  16. In my opinion, I say that it depends on the person who listens to the music will spark violence. If the person is aggressive then the person will react to the music angry and may take it out on something. If the person is a calm person then they will just ignore the music and live on with they're life

  17. Loud music can have both a negative a positive influence on teenagers. i do believe music can spark violence. I do think the loud music played a role in how the teen was perceived by his killer. The killer did not like the loud music the teen was listening to.

  18. No, I do not think the "loud rap music" played a role in how the teen was killed. Music being loud shouldn't be an issue at all in the first place, than to kill an innocent person for that is so ridiculous. In my opinion I feel like the white man was trying to get anything to pick on because they were black.

  19. Music can spark violence because fear what they can't understand and that's why there always conflict on certain topics so yes music can spark violence bad or good

  20. No. The loud rap music had nothing to do the murder of Jordan. The reason why Jordan got killed is because he said you're dead bitch and reached down acting like he was pulling out a gun which he wasn't he was just doing it to scare the man of the man took it as if he was really trying to pull out a gun

  21. Can words spark violence ? Duh. Music is just another form of communication. Messages can be transfered through music just as using words. Music can be used to diffuse situations , or even increase tensions. However ,music does have an impact on everything and everyone.

  22. Music definitely can spark violence. There lyrics can be aiming towards another artist who will then take it up on the own time to do what they want to do. If it's dissing them back or starting a twitter war. Music is basically messages sung or rapped over a beat. What r hey want to say in the song is up to them, but it can defiantly spark violence

  23. music can spark violence, depending on how the beat of the song and actual lyrics are in the song.

  24. Music can spark violence only half the time. It depends on the lyrics and what the meaning of the song is.

  25. Music can spark violence the reason why is because as soon as someone starts to listen to music they are influenced by the person singing the song.

  26. Sometimes it can and sometimes it doesn't. Because overall the violence was there before the music which is most artists point. Sometimes if the song is about violence then it would manipulate young kids mind depending on the artist and the music.

  27. In my opinion , it all depends how the artist is saying it & how the listener is taking it . If someone blasts music , it isnt going go put you under a category labeled " thug" or "ganster" . Blasting a lalluby isnt going make you none of those . It just all depends on how you take the music for yourself

  28. Music can spark violence. Music can set a mood in many people. Music is probably the most influential thing of society today but it all depends on how the listener interprets the music and how the artist delivers the message across to these listeners.

  29. Music can spark violence because young children and teenagers look up to these artists. Music is very influential to many people, it makes people think and do stuff they may regret.

  30. Music can spark violence because music affects the mood of people. When your upset you listen to hard uptempo music that you can just jam your frustration out too! Music is a very big influence on people lives.

  31. In my opinion music doesn't spark violence, its the people on the other end listening on. People make up their own minds to do whatever the please. Listening to a certain type of music isn't going to make you go out and murder someone or do drugs. Although rap music can definitely convey the wrong message to younger people that its cool to do those things and that it will get them respected.

  32. I believe that music can spark violence. Blasting loud music is like you calling for attention and you want people to notice you. When loud rap music plays about gang related violence, it can cause issues to the people in the society like their behavior for example. But then again it's really about who's listening to the music because everyone has different feelings.

  33. Music can start violence, but it wasnt the reason why the teen was killed. I think it was more of a hate crime and that the music was just an excuse. The shooter didnt want anyone to see through it, but I saw. Hes a snake, white snake.

  34. In my opinion I believe that music can not spark violence. It's ip to the people if they choose to act a certain way or not. Rap music isn't going to pursuade a person to use illegal substances or commit murder. It's common sense to not do that.

  35. I believe that music can spark violence. It can spark violence listening to the lyrics. If the lyrics are about guns and smoking and how cool and fun it is, there are people out there that will try and smoke and use a gun because their favorite music artist says it's cool. Also music can definitely change your mood. For example, love songs make you sad or makes you think about your significant other, and "gangsta rap" makes you angry and make you feel like you want to hurt somebody or something.

  36. Of course music can create violence, for example their lyrics can get into your head and they can manipulate and brainwash you, and they can make you think of something your not. also during the cocaine era in the late 80's Compton was in chaos because people were doing cocaine and it caused police brutality and the government had to get involve.

  37. Music can effect society, people , environment like if they are jacking gangs and people start acting out the lyrics , and it starts beef , or like sexual lyrics young teenagers think that its cool to do what the artist is singing in his lyrics

  38. Music can have a negative or either a positive influence on you. Depending on what kinda song it is and what the meaning is. Songs do affect us in this generation.

  39. Music can spark violence because music sometimes have a negative message in music and some kids get influenced by their favorite artists .

  40. Music, as we have been studying this year, has the remarkable ability to affect human consciousness, be it positively or negatively. The death of Jordan Davis may be considered a prime example of this, but there appear to be other underlying causes for the shooting. While Jordan was only playing loud music (which isn't reason for removal from a public establishment in broad daylight), the music may have skewed or enforced Mr. Michael Dunn's view on this boy. Loud rap music is fairly intimidating, perhaps especially so to a man who does not understand or approve of it. This may have caused Mr. Dunn to fire at this young man. Whether it was out of true fear or prejudice, it may never come to light. Though it speaks a fair volume about the impact of music on our society and racial tensions.

  41. if a teenager listens to music and its negative saying they gonna shoot this and shoot that, i think this is putting negativity into the teenagers head so they are going to start and think upon what this person is saying and actually consider it. Music is based on personality and it can change you. music influences a lot of people it just takes the right lyrics/song.
